Ground Floor Stairs, First Floor Landing & Washroom
Ground Floor Stairs Pegboard
This is another piece from Sarah & Steve Catlin, it replaces a shaker peg rail and little black box. Hanging from the pegboard are a couple of my hand made prairie bonnets. On the shelf above are some of my own fabric covered books and a small pin keep which I made from a piece of vintage quilt and an old muffin tin.
First Floor Landing
A bit of change has taken place here on the Landing; my fab new apothecary drawers created by The Prim At Heart Homestead. I LOVE how this area now looks, simple and prim!
First Floor Landing Dry Sink
The Dry Sink is still one of my favourite pieces, and the bargain firkin bucket filled with sweet annie compliments the standing doll just perfectly. The curtain at the front I made from the backing of an old cement sack.
A closer shot of the wonderful drawers and primitive iron snuffer from Winter Willow Primitives.
Washroom Window With Prim Tobacco Curtain
Like my Kitchen the bathroom isn't a large room and once again you have to make best use of the space you have. When the new suite went in I decided on a corner bath because, beleive it or not they do make better use of space than a traditional shaped one. In the window stands a salesman sampler cupboard, a bar of prim soap and a tin candle stick with battery operated candle. The newest addition is the vintage bentwood sieve with one of my small hand made dolls sat in the bottom.
Washroom Peg Shelf
This has definately transformed the Wash Room into a little prim haven. Last week I had a bit of a play around and this was the end result. I bought a firkin bucket from America with the intention of putting it on this shelf but when it arrived it finished the top of my firkin stack off in the Gathering Room. So, I moved the one from the Gathering Room into the Keeping Room and this one from the Keeping Room ended up on the Washroom Peg Shelf!!. I made the towels and stitched Beth & Libby's initials in one corner of each towel. I am really pleased with how this looks now.
