A Dilemma

When I discovered I was pregnant with Libby, who is now 6, a rather large dilemma presented itself, where on earth was she going to sleep with only having 2 bedrooms! I didn't want to move house, the nursery, infant and junior school are quite literally on my doorstep and with having 3 weimaraners to exercise, open fields to the left of us are a godsend! The only option available was to go up and so in August of that year, at 12 weeks pregnant, work started on a loft conversion which was to last right through till the end of November. Off all the rennovation work that I have endured, converting the loft had to be the worst. Beth had to sleep in a makeshift bed in my bedroom for many a week and as I got bigger and bigger the stress levels rose and rose. Looking back now I really don't know how I coped, but the end did come and it was all worth it.

A Grown Up Room

Last year whilst Beth & Libby were on holiday with grandparents, Beth's room had a bit of a makeover, nothing major just a lick of paint, a new oak floor, new bedding accessories & window drapes and out with the baby toys. When she came back she loved her new "grown up" bedroom and she loves the Angel I made for her bed, an Angel for an Angel!

Hidden Storage

Once again to make best use of any space, cupboard doors were put where the ceiling meets the floor, the space is used for storage.

Dressing Screen & Vintage Dress

I had this dressing screen made for Beth so as she could close of the entrance to her room, making it a little bit more private. When she first had the screen she used to say, "don't come in my room, it's in private", bearing in mind she was only 10 at the time!. After the recent makeover in my bedroom I didn't have room to hang one of my vintage childs dresses, so I hung it from one of the cupboards that hides the water tanks, Beth loves it!
